Mila Ieker started her professional career in 2006 as an intern at the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI), analyzing Oppositions, Appeals, Administrative Nullity Proceedings, Cancellation Requests, as well as elaborating opinions of the Prosecutor’s Office to support the decision of the President of the Brazilian PTO. In 2009, Mila joined ARARIPE as a Trademark’s team intern. Due to her work and development in the office, in 2011, she was hired as a Lawyer in the same area.

In order to enhance her knowledge in her area of work, Mila took the Advanced Course on Trademarks by the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property Agents (ABAPI) in 2009, and, also, Mila keeps up to date with administrative and judicial decisions in the area.

• Law Degree by Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ); and

• Postgraduate in Intellectual Property Law by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC/RJ).
